A folding bike from Bike Friday

I've been wanting to bike to work for a while but was always put off by BART's policy of banning full-size bikes during heavy commuter hours. So I figured a folding bike would the perfect solution. Before taking the plunge, I did my homework. I talked to coworkers with folding bikes (a quick shot out to Ying Wei and Bruce Horn); did some research and comparison shopping online; and visited a couple of bike stores. In the end, I opted for the Tikit model, made by Bike Friday. It's not the cheapest folding bike, but it's definitely one of the best. The demo video showing a rider fold it up in 5 seconds flat (and unfold it in the same amount of time) went a long way towards selling me on it. Now I'm just waiting for it to show up...

Just the Tikit

My Tikit arrived on Wednesday (thanks, Paul). It rides beautifully and folds up quickly (even with the little knob to release/unrelease the fold on the handlebar stem). I'm really impressed, and can't stop showing it off.
